The Future of Work, Revisited
For PMOs, PMI chapters, and project leadership
Where AI earns its keep in project delivery, where it doesn’t, and why the PMO should lead it. The follow-up to my 2024 talk at PMI Great Lakes.
What Comes Next? LLC · Evolutions
Twenty years of running technology programs, turned on one person at a time. I built the method, I’m testing it in the field, and I’ll come talk to your team about it — and about what AI is doing to project work.

The methodology
Health practitioners do not do project management. Project managers are not known for being healthy and fit. The intersection is nearly empty.
Evolutions is twenty years of portfolio-scale program discipline — 500+ application migrations, 4,600+ data-source integrations, a $2M statewide modernization delivered 14% under budget — pointed at a single person instead of an enterprise. Not a metaphor. The same constructs, renamed.

It is under test now. Six Week Success Story, a six-week field experiment at Drexel University, is the evidence base for the dissertation behind this method. Enrollment closed September 29 and the study runs through November 8. Read about the study →

The habit mapper that feeds it is The Spark, and it stays free — the mobile app runs the same seven-day cycle.
Founder
Doctoral researcher studying how AI-personalized feedback changes habit formation — on a system he built, and ran on himself first.
DBA candidate at Drexel LeBow, after twenty years of technical program management at General Motors, Ford, Amazon, and the State of Michigan. What Comes Next? grew out of a practice kept for years before there was a company: daily progress files, weekly planning, and a look back at the end of every stretch.
